The Menzingers

New Music Video: "Anna" - The Menzingers

The Menzingers recently shared a new video for “Anna,” the lead single from their forthcoming Will Yip-produced album Hello Exile. The imagery candidly chronicles one’s movements throughout the days and nights in the city. It's a video-diary of longing, which demonstrates the void created by missing an integral part of your life. The band is slated to perform at Franklin Music Hall on Friday, November 29, as part of a lineup that also includes Tigers Jaw and Culture Abuse. The band also announced that Hello Exile is due to drop on October 4 via Epitaph.

New Don't Stop Now Benefit Compilation Available for Streaming & Purchase

Philly's own Don't Stop Now series just shared its second compilation in time for this oh so important Election Day. "Let it serve as a reminder that the fight for justice is not over, that the celebration of diversity is essential to progress, that we must work together for what is fair and good." Stacked mostly with kick-ass local artists like Tom May (The Menzingers), Cherry, Augusta Koch (Cayetana), No Thank You, SOUL GLO, Greg Mendez, and many, many more covering beloved artists (Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Fugazi, The Beastie Boys, Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Sharon Van Etten, etc.), you now have plenty of entertainment on your way to the voting booth. All proceeds from the compilation will be donated to RAICES (Refugee & Immigrant Center for Education & Legal Services), "a nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas."

Weekend Warrior, September 15 - 17

This Saturday, the historic Electric Factory will be hosting Project Pabst Citywide Fest, where you’ll be treated to an array notable and rising indie recording artists. The fiercely open, riff-tastic tunes of Thin Lips will be catching hold of early birds with momentous melodies. Later in the day, bridging the gap between adolescent and adulthood into anthems of universal release, The Menzingers take the stage to the delight of their growing loyal fan base. Sandwiched in between, you’ll also find the fragile, cathartic, biting melodies of Nothing and the sincere, gritty, pop sensibilities of Speedy Ortiz, who has recently welcomed Laser Background’s Andy Moholt into the fold. The elegantly exposed vulnerability of Big Thief, Atlanta garage-rock gals The Coathangers, and “Mr. F*ck, That’s Delicious” Action Bronson round out this daylong hang. – Michael Colavita

Weekend Warrior, March 31 - April 2

Released last month via Epitaph, The Menzingers’ latest album, After The Party, finds the quartet in a reflective realm. Maintaining a melodic, polished sense of exuberance, the album stews on reminiscent tales of young adulthood, steadily driving ahead while peaking out from within those narratives to inject crowd-charging, catchy choruses. After numerous nights of travel, their destination is the inviting return home as they set up shop, intertwining Americana-punk sounds at The Fillmore, joined by Jeff Rosenstock, and Rozwell Kid.
Meanwhile, right down the road at Johnny Brenda's, the engulfing fuzz-torching psych rock of Bardo Pond blazes an invigorating sonic trail to commemorate their new release, Under The Pines, available via Fire Records. They’ll be supported by Sparrow Steeple and Eric Arn so step out of the rain and soak in some replenishing sounds. - Michael Colavita

New Music Video: "Lookers" - The Menzingers

Directed by Sean Stoute, the new video for The Menzingers' "Lookers" peeks behind the curtain. A serene reflective song with a rumbling enthusiasm, the track pairs well with the black & white footage, depicting the fervor of live performance and the tranquility of the traveling process. The single is featured on the band’s forthcoming album After The Party, available on February 3 via Epitaph. They’ll also be performing next in Philly on Friday, March 31 at The Fillmore.
