With their debut album Nervous Like Me set for release on Tuesday via Tiny Engines, the pop-punk trio of Cayetana headline a record release show presented by The Guild this evening at Golden Tea House. The tight-knit group of ladies lock into a unifying sound that touches on intimate moments and memories lyrically as the vocals express an ever emotive, unprotected side. However, they find a solid manner to measure levels of raw unfiltered snapshots and intense bursts of instrumentation, while also developing songs that capture an infectious relatable element. Punk rock four-piece Albondigas, who recently released a new single, “In The Eyes,” will serve as an appetizer. The moody, melodic pop-punk of The Spirit of the Beehive is also slated to perform as is New York power-pop outfit Chumped.
