Jordan Reyes

Jordan Reyes "The Tide"

Jordan Reyes has released the first single, "The Tide", from his forthcoming album, Everything Is Always, which is due out via American Dreams on October 28th.

This project has taken Reyes over two years to complete, and it documents his journey from anxiety to medication triggered depression to zen to distance biking and marathon running.

"The Tide" is dark, filled with an unsettling drone, but also contains a melody and near chant that helps the listener manage the wave.

Jordan Reyes "Close"

Jordan Reyes has released the first single, “Quicksand”, from his forthcoming album, Close. The album is set to be released via his label American Dream in June 14th and will be available in vinyl with a very cool limited JJ Cormer print.

This is music that Reyes has made on the modular synthesizer and, from the sound of “Quicksand”, it is beautiful, haunting, and introspective.

A Conversation with Jordan Reyes of American Damage

Jordan Reyes returned to Chicago earlier this year with the hopes of launching a record label that would help him tell the story of and tell a story through experimental music. The result is American Damage and we recently had the opportunity to ask Jordan a few question about the label, his music, and the future of both.

You can read the full interview here and you can pre-order his new album, “Afraid of Death”, here.

American Damage will be releasing “Your Future Is Metal” from Ono on August 25th. They will be also be releasing “Predation Risk" from Crepuscular (aka Minneapolis’ Tina Dahl) and “Jo” from Chelsea Bridge (aka Mallory Linehan from Mkot Pt and Looms) on September 21st.
