Augusta Koch (Gladie, Sheena, Anika & Augusta, Cayetana) recently shared her latest solo effort, “a friend.,” which describes and observes thoughts and actions of isolating loneliness, within the search for connection. The sparse, instrumental backdrop allows the lyrical sincerity to shine. Simple Pleasures, the forthcoming EP from Sheena, Anika, and Augusta, is set to arrive on September 6 via Asian Man Records, and the trio is scheduled to perform at South Philly's TRUCK on Saturday, September 14.

Below is a new song, "march 1st.," from singer-songwriter Augusta Koch (Gladie, Cayetana). The reverberation of keys and the snap of percussion create a somber, intimate glow of evening. The personal narrative details experiences of dealing with a narcissist and ignoring one’s instincts. There’s a lingering sadness that has a haunting affect as she addresses past trauma and a future day of reckoning. Koch plans to release a song every Friday this month, and with this latest track, it's easy to hear why we are looking forward to listen to more.

Philly's own Don't Stop Now series just shared its second compilation in time for this oh so important Election Day. "Let it serve as a reminder that the fight for justice is not over, that the celebration of diversity is essential to progress, that we must work together for what is fair and good." All proceeds from the compilation will be donated to RAICES (Refugee & Immigrant Center for Education & Legal Services), "a nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas."
